The Sea of Life
The Sea of Life
My feet scream in pain,
My sole, and soul, are pierced.
I feel the foreign,
harsh objects,
lodged in tender flesh.
My sole, and soul, are pierced.
I feel the foreign,
harsh objects,
lodged in tender flesh.
Still, I walk on.
For, on the shore,
I am sure of the pain.
I know what comes next.
There is nothing...
Unexpected.
For, on the shore,
I am sure of the pain.
I know what comes next.
There is nothing...
Unexpected.
But the Sea,
which offers life,
It is unexpected.
If I go in,
I won't be able to see
what happens next.
which offers life,
It is unexpected.
If I go in,
I won't be able to see
what happens next.
The waves could
slam into me,
Or a storm
may come.
slam into me,
Or a storm
may come.
The Sea is
Unexpected.
You can never tell.
Unexpected.
You can never tell.
Yet, in the Sea,
There is hope.
You find joy,
There is hope.
You find joy,
laughter, friends,
that you will not
find on the shore.
that you will not
find on the shore.
And soon, you learn
to trust God -
the creator of the Sea -
to take you to
the right place.
You let go,
and let the
waves carry you,
to exactly where
you need to be.
to trust God -
the creator of the Sea -
to take you to
the right place.
You let go,
and let the
waves carry you,
to exactly where
you need to be.
